We need to understand how this flesh of ours works, and we must learn how to rule it and not let it rule us. The flesh represents your feelings and emotions. The devil is not a fake devil. He is a flesh devil. That is why the Bible says, know flesh can please God. So, whatever you don’t resist in your life, you give it permission to rule and run your life. It could be anger, pride that is the flesh.

“Everyone you meet is fighting a battle within you know nothing about.”

Galatians 5:17 tells us. This scripture describes how the spirit wars against the flesh and the flesh wars against the spirit, how they are continually antagonistic toward each other. They will never agree.

The flesh must habitually be put to death. The death I’m referring to is spiritual death rather than physical death. Spiritual death requires being empty of the world and all its ways, selfishness, self-will and all the works of the flesh. The world is trying to pollute our minds today and get us to lower our standards. When the apostle Paul said, “I die daily. A dead can’t man talk, he just obeys. A dead man doesn’t fight with flesh, he rules his flesh.
